Emily brings an incredible 25-year background in music education to our roster, combining deep professional expertise with a true passion for nurturing students.

She holds a B.S. in Music Education (with a Band/Flute emphasis) from Brigham Young University-Idaho and an Orff Level 1 Certification from Utah State University.

When she isn't teaching at the academy, Emily shapes local music education as the Music Coordinator and Teacher for Bonneville Joint School District #93, where she designs elementary music curriculum and mentors other teachers.

At IFMA, Emily offers private instruction in flute, woodwinds, and piano for everyone from 5-year-old beginners to adults. Her lessons beautifully blend strong technical fundamentals with a supportive, personalized approach, ensuring that every student feels encouraged as they reach their unique musical goals and build a lifelong love for playing.
